Quentin Loague earned a B.S. in Chemistry from Virginia Tech in 2019. There, he worked in Dr. Amanda Morris’ lab studying the charge transfer properties of redox-active metal-organic frameworks (MOFs). In 2020 he joined the Meyer lab, where he is currently studying electric fields generated in transparent semi-conducting oxides by injected electrons. He is also investigating the use of squaraine dyes as probes of electric fields, utilizing techniques such as Stark spectroscopy and spectroelectrochemistry.

In his free time, Quentin enjoys spending time outside hiking, camping, and kayaking, and attending Virginia Tech football games.
