John Dickenson earned a B.S in Chemistry from the Virginia Military Institute, graduating in 2020. During his time there, he worked with Dr. Daniel Harrison synthesizing and electrochemically characterizing novel terpyridine and terpyridine-like first row transition metal complexes. He joined the Meyer Lab in January 2021, where he is currently working in collaboration with former postdoctoral fellow of the group Ludovic Troian-Gautier exploring the excited state electron transfer properties of a recently developed iron photosensitizer complex in relation to halide oxidation. In his free time John enjoys running, hiking, disc golf, weightlifting, and baking.
